2. Structure of the Exam
The exam has two parts:
Part I – Reading Comprehension (Written Reception): 70 points
You read a passage in English (about 250–300 words) divided into several paragraphs.
Then you answer 7-10 questions about it. Some are multiple choice, some are complete-the-sentence, and some are open questions.
You must write your answers in English in the space given.
Part II – Vocabulary (Lexical knowledge): 30 points
You get two lists based on the words from Bands II and III. You need to match three of the items 1–6 to the definitions on the right. Write the number of the item next to its definition, as shown in the example. 2 points for each correct match.
המבחן מורכב משני חלקים:
חלק א’ – הבנת הנקרא: 70 נקודות
אתם קוראים קטע באנגלית (כ־250–300 מילים) המחולק למספר פסקאות.
לאחר מכן אתם עונים על 7–10 שאלות עליו. חלק מהשאלות הן רב־ברירה, חלקן השלמת משפט, וחלקן שאלות פתוחות.

חלק ב׳ – אוצר מילים (ידע לקסיקלי): 30 נקודות
אתם מקבלים שתי רשימות המבוססות על מילים מרמות Bands II, III. עליכם להתאים שלושה פריטים מתוך 1–6 להגדרות שבצד ימין. יש לכתוב את מספר הפריט ליד ההגדרה המתאימה, כפי שמוצג בדוגמה. 2 נקודות לכל התאמה נכונה.
Requirements & Tips
Time: 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Tools: None. This means that no dictionary of any kind is allowed in this exam.
Points: Reading comprehension = 70 points, Vocabulary= 30 points, total = 100 points.
Marking: You get points for understanding the text, answering exactly what is asked, and for clear, correct English.
