Unit Overview
This unit explores the world of three fascinating sea creatures—sharks, dolphins, and seahorses. Students will learn how sharks, as powerful fish with sharp teeth, hunt and survive in the oceans, and how dolphins, as intelligent mammals, communicate, work together, and live in groups. The unit also introduces seahorses, unique fish that change color to hide and where the father carries the eggs until they hatch. Through simplified texts, students will compare these animals’ size, habitat, body features, and special abilities, discovering what makes each one special in the underwater world. Activities include vocabulary building, reading comprehension, and comparative exercises to help students describe similarities and differences using basic English. By the end of the unit, learners will be able to talk about these animals confidently, using simple comparative sentences and key facts.
