Unit Overview
This unit introduces seven beginner-friendly English sounds—SH, OO, EE, CK, CH, TH, -TION—so students can hear them, say them, read them, and write them in simple words and short sentences. Learners will practice matching letters to sounds, noticing mouth position, and building confidence with very basic vocabulary.
Students meet each sound with clear examples:
SH → she, ship, fish
OO (two common sounds) → moon, food / book, hood
EE → see, tree, green
CK → duck, back, backpack
CH → cheese, chair, lunch
TH (soft/voiceless & hard/voiced) → think, thin / this, that
-TION (sounds like “shun”) → action, station, nation
Activities include listening and repeating, sound-picture matching, sorting cards by sound, simple chants, “find the sound” reading strips, mini dictations of words, and building very short sentences (e.g., “I see a ship.” “This book is green.”).

יחידה זו מציגה שבעה צלילים ידידותיים למתחילים באנגלית—SH, OO, EE, CK, CH, TH, -TION—כדי שהתלמידים יוכלו לשמוע אותם, לומר אותם, לקרוא אותם ולכתוב אותם במילים פשוטות ובמשפטים קצרים. התלמידים יתרגלו התאמת אותיות לצלילים, תשומת לב למנח הפה, ובניית ביטחון עם אוצר מילים בסיסי מאוד.

מטרות היחידה
בסוף יחידה זו, התלמידים יוכלו:
1. לזהות את שבעת הצלילים הללו במילים נפוצות.
2. לקרוא ולאיית מילים בסיסיות בנות הברה אחת או שתיים בתבניות אלו.
3. לומר משפטים קצרים וברורים המשתמשים במילות היעד.
4. לבחור את הצליל הנכון בעת שמיעת מילים פשוטות.
